Remaniax
Biography:
Thomas Helsloot(1984) and Erik Roos(1984) both grew up in Almere (the Netherlands). This is where they met at school and soon found out they had a shared passion for dance music. Throughout the years not only their friendship grew but also their knowledge, skills and possibilities to play (during numerous gigs as DJ’s) and produce music. It was early 2005 they decided to see where in the world their music could bring them, the Remaniax were born!
During the summer of 2006 their very first Remaniax productions got various positive reactions, and some of them even get played by local and national known DJ’s! Not long after this Thomas and Erik see one of their remixes released on Chega Recordings.
The year 2007 brings them the releases of some of their own productions on labels like Chega Recordings, Olav Basoski’s Rootz Records and Rob Boskamp’s Big Boss Records. “Wreck The DJ” even reaches number 49 in the official Dutch Charts (Mega Top 100). They also made several successful remixes for George Anthony, Dos Palomas Negras and DJ Jose.
For 2008 a lot of promising things are happening. The new year brings them the launch of their very own label, “Döner Digital Records”, named after their favourite after-clubbin’ food: Döner Kebab. Also 2008 will bring a second release on Chega Recordings and several remixes containing one for the collaboration between Tom de Neef & Laidback Luke, which is already licensed to Net’s Work International.
